Massachusetts School Librarians for Instructional Technology Licensure
UPDATE--on June 14, 2011, I requested higher education status . I'm not sure whether I should have done that or K-12 status. We are all K-12 people researching higher ed programs, but we don't have students here. Let's see what happens.
Why this wiki?
To gather and share information about programs leading to the Mass DESE IT license
To gain experience in using Web 2.0 technology as a platform for true collaboration.
What else would you like to see here?
Where to start?
Let's introduce ourselves. Click on 'introductions' to the left.
Create pages for other IT licensure programs you know of.
Add information to existing program pages.
Use the discussion option on the page for each program to ask questions, comment on your experience, and share impressions.
These are just suggestions to get us off the ground. Please see 4th bullet under 'What else to know.'
What else to know?
We are hosted by Google's Wikispaces--the free version.
For the first 30 days--until July 12, 2011--we are private, meaning editing and viewing is by invitation only. After that, we must choose to be protected (invited members can edit, everyone can view) or public.
Individual levels of involvement with this wiki is whatever each of us wants it to be. No pressure! After all, it's summer.
Wiki creator is Carrie Tucker. Although I opened the wiki, I don't want to direct traffic and call the shots. I hope we all just chip in to add and organize the content as we see fit. Goal is a truly collaborative effort that takes on a life of its own.
